Gene Sperling Offers Progressive Economic Solutions
November 4, 2005
Progressive student leaders gathered at the law school on Friday to hear Gene Sperling, YLS '85, Chief Economic Advisor to President Clinton and Senior Fellow at the
Center for American Progress give a dynamic and deeply practical address entitled: "Progressive Solutions for a Growth Economy."
Sperling shared his analysis of ways in which both Democrats and Repbulicans fail in their way of thinking and talking about the economy and its ills, and drew on his just-published book, "The Pro-Growth Progressive: An Economic Strategy for Shared Prosperity," to point progressives in the best direction for contemplating economic solutions that don't just rise all tides, but truly lift all boats.
